GSA Management LLC is a fast-growing institutional developer and owner of real estate self-storage assets nationwide. The Cash Application Specialist plays a crucial role in the accounting team, providing vital support to the company's cash management processes.

Objective:

In this role, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling incoming payments and unapplied cash in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reconciling incoming payments (checks, credit cards, and cash) from tenants against bank reports promptly.
  • Monitoring and reviewing unapplied cash balances.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies by proactively communicating with the Operations and Accounting teams.
  • Assisting the Accounting team with month-end close activities related to cash application and reconciliation.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and supporting special projects as needed.

Other Functions:

  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 1 year related cash application experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
